Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information muxover.com and its subdomains collect, why, who else handles it, and what you can do about it. The site is run by Jax (muxover), who is responsible for your information and can be reached at contact@muxover.com.

The short version: there are no ads, no tracking and no profiles. The site only keeps what you choose to send me, and you can ask me to delete it at any time.

1. What I collect

Quote requests

The contact form asks for your name, email address, the kind of work you need, and optionally a budget and timeline, plus the project details you write. When you send it, it's delivered to my inbox as an email. It isn't stored in a database on this site.

Emails and messages

If you email me or message me on Telegram or X, I receive whatever you include, along with your address or username.

Client projects

If we work together, I keep what's needed to do the work and get paid: your contact details, the project messages, quotes and invoices, and any files, data or access you give me for the project.

Spam protection

The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. It looks at signals from your browser and connection, such as your IP address and browser details, only to run that check. It doesn't show you puzzles and isn't used for advertising.

Visitor statistics

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't fingerprint you, and doesn't follow you across other sites. I only see totals, such as the number of visits to a page, the referring site, and the country and device type.

Technical data

Every request to the site passes through Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses and request details to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. If the contact form fails, a short error log is kept for debugging. It doesn't include what you wrote.

2. Cookies

The site doesn't set any cookies of its own and uses no advertising or tracking cookies, so there's no cookie banner. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site from bots and abuse. They don't identify you personally and aren't used for tracking.

3. Why I use it, and on what basis

• To answer your request and prepare a quote. You asked me to, so this is a step before a possible contract.
• To do the work and get paid, as part of our contract.
• To keep records such as invoices, where the law requires it.
• To keep the site working and free of spam, and to see which pages are useful, which is in my legitimate interest and doesn't identify you.

I don't sell or rent your information, don't use it for advertising, don't make automated decisions about you, and don't add you to any mailing list.

4. Who else handles it

A few providers process information on my behalf, only as far as they need to run their service:

• Cloudflare: hosting, DNS, security, spam protection and visitor statistics.
• Resend: delivering contact form messages to my inbox.
• Hostinger: hosting the contact@muxover.com mailbox.
• GitHub: hosting the site's code and my public projects. No visitor data goes to GitHub.

If you pay me, the payment is handled by the provider you pay through: Ziina for card payments, or a cryptocurrency payment processor or network for crypto payments. They process your payment details under their own privacy policies. I never see or store your full card details. Payments on a blockchain are public by the nature of the network.

I may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect my rights or someone's safety in a real emergency.

5. Where it's processed

These providers run servers in many countries, including outside the one you live in. They protect the data under their own security programmes and, where required, standard contractual safeguards.

6. How long I keep it

• Quote requests and emails that don't lead to a project: up to 2 years, then deleted.
• Client project records and messages: for the length of the project and up to 5 years after it ends.
• Invoices and payment records: as long as accounting and tax law requires.
• Visitor statistics: kept only as totals, as Cloudflare provides them.
• Form error logs: a few days.

You can ask me to delete your information sooner, unless I have to keep it by law.

7. How it's protected

The site is served only over HTTPS with strict security headers. The contact form checks every request before anything is sent, and access to my inbox and project files is limited to me. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable measures and will tell you without delay if a breach affects your information.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask me to:

• tell you what information I hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct anything that's wrong or out of date;
• delete your information;
• limit or stop how I use it, or object to it;
• send it to you or another provider in a common format.

Email contact@muxover.com from the address you used, or tell me how to confirm it's you. I'll reply within 30 days. There's no charge. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live, but I'd appreciate the chance to fix things first.

9. Children

The site and the services are meant for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and I delete it if I find out I have.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will show it. If a change affects how I use information you've already sent, I'll tell you by email where I can.
